Unknown iOS 8 Features That Apple Did Not Mention
iPhone 6 and 6Plus launched on the 19th this month. And with it arrived the iOS 8 too. Apple announced that developers have put in a lot of effort to make the iOS 8 a class apart. iOS 8 sports features that are quite new and unique to iPhones and iPads. Some of these iOS 8 features were announced by Apple itself. Still there remained some features that were not revealed by Apple.
One would think that Apple did not reveal the features as those might bring negative appraisal. However, it is just the opposite. Apple had failed to reveal some of the most crucial and significant iOS 8 features.
Scan Credit Cards – iOS previously allowed you to browse the internet through Safari. It had been a handy app, as Safari memorizes information and details of credit cards, account names, passwords etc. These details are presented when required by the user.
The latest iOS 8 features have simplified the process of putting up new credit cards. All you need to do is keep the credit card in front of the camera. The operating system automatically scans all the details of the credit card and inserts it in the correct spaces. Your purchase is complete within the wink of an eye.
Photo Recovery – Like PCs, recycle bin or an option similar to that is among the latest iOS 8 features. The photos that you delete intentionally or mistakenly are stored in a folder named as “Recently Deleted”. Users can enter the folder and recover back any deleted photos by tapping on the recover option. The backup however, is just for photo files and not for any doc files.
Black & White –This is among the latest iOS 8 features that permits you to change the background display of your iPhone to black and white, gray to be exact. The option of Grayscale under the Accessibility setting lets you turn your bright and colorful iPhone into an old gray phone.
Improved GIFS in Notes – iPhone and iPad users armed with iOS 8 features would now be able to send high quality texts and videos. The Notes application is improved such that you can write more stylized texts. Users can also send or receive GIFS that are animated.
Email Thread Notification – The quickest way to access your email is through your iPhone. And with iOS 8 features, you can even keep track of a particular email thread. Select the email, the thread of which you want to receive. You will be notified each time a person responds to the particular thread. You can if you want to disable other email notifications as well.
Battery Statistics – Keep track of how much power has been consumed by your iPhone. The Battery Usage option reveals statistics of the apps that drain more power than the rest. You can if you want remove the apps, giving your iPhone longer battery life.
