Apple Launches New iPhone Model At Cupertino Campus
The most recent hardware events of Apple Inc. featured larger iPhones, an even larger iPad as well as a whole new Apple TV. Yesterday, the focus was on getting smaller! Apple’s much awaited event that launched new iPhone model, taglined “Let us loop you in”, was held yesterday at the Cupertino campus.
As per reports, the focus was primarily on upon Apple’s new 4-inch iPhone SE, the new smaller 9.7-inch iPad Pro as well as the whole new Apple Watch bands. Read on for a detailed description of the new iPhone model and iPad models that the tech-giant launched yesterday at press event!
With the introduction of the iPhone 6 line in 2014, the typical 4 inch screen size of the iPhone became a thing of the past. The 4 inch size, introduced with the new iPhone model in 2012, iPhone 5, is regaining its niche in the iPhone world through the new iPhone SE. Within Apple Inc., employees prefer to regard the new iPhone SE in two ways- some call it “Special Edition” whereas others like to term it as an enhanced version of the iPhone 5s.
Apple initially termed it as the new iPhone 5SE, since it is reported to look nearly the same as iPhone 5s. For this new iPhone model, Apple is adding rose gold to its colour range consisting of space gray and silver, as well as bringing back the golden one.
Moving over to the internal specs of the one of the new iPhone model, the iPhone SE, the newest iPhone version is said to include an NFC chip, just like the iPhone 6 and 6s lines, in order to permit mobile payments. A new A9 chip is going to guarantee speed improvements, while an M9 chip will ensure accurate motion tracking and a “Hey-Siri” support that’s always on! This means that even if the device isn’t plugged in to power, still shouting “Hey Siri” at the iPhone SE will activate Siri! Now that’s wonderful! The new version is also reported to support 4K movies.
The cameras, as well as the camera software in the new iPhone model, have been upgraded, thanks to the upgraded hardware. The Live Photos feature, inherited from the iPhone 6s, which allows you to record a small video and audio before and after the moment the snap is taken, has been incorporated in the new iPhone version. This device has no 3D touch, as well as the front facing LED flash is missing. As far as the megapixel count goes, the new iPhone model is reported to have a 12MP rear camera.
The new iPhone model, SE launched in the 16GB and 64GB variants, with prices similar to the iPhone 5S.
The new 9.7 inch variant of the iPad is similar to the iPad Pro. Not taking internal features and the naming into consideration, the new iPad variant shows a design that is similar to iPad Air 2 and a feature set inherited from iPad Pro. The new iPad includes quad speakers around its sides.
The new iPad version includes the A9X processor along with a greater RAM than the larger iPad Pro, as well as a Smart Connector which would allow automatic pairings and self powered keyboard attachments. An updated display technology ensures that the display gets brighter than the larger variant. Similar to the larger iPad Pro, the smaller variant consists of a smaller Smart Keyboard as well as full support for the Apple Pencil.
Upgrading itself from the 8MP rear camera on the larger iPad Pro, the smaller variant will have a 12MP camera, capable of recording 4K videos. There is also a possibility of a rear flash being included in the new iPad variant.
The smaller “iPad Pro”, coming in space gray, silver and gold variations, will be in the 32GB and 128GB variations, and the pricing will be closer to the iPad Air 2.
The Apple Watch has been just a year old, and it doesn’t seem as if it is up for an upgrade just yet. Apple unveiled and launched some new straps and bands, and the updated model would be available in autumn.
Apple’s main and the most significant event will be taking place in Autumn, and yesterday’s event can be termed as just a small keynote before the main one. Though Apple traditionally unveils its products in its autumn event, the March 21st event has been a success considering the new iPhone and iPad versions that lined up the launch!
