- Reboot – If your websites are not loading properly, and the connection starts dropping it means you need to reboot your router. Its best to reboot your router from time to time as that ensures uninterrupted performance. All you have to do is unplug the power cable of your router and after a few moments plug it back in. - Overheating – Just like laptops and most other electronic devices overheating can damage your router. So if there is a connection problem, measure the temperature of your router. In such a case switch off the router and let it cool off for some time and then start.
- Connection – You may have unplugged the router by mistake so check the connection properly. You need to check all the cables and plug it in properly. Check power cable, that cable between your router and modem, modem and wall sockets and Ethernet cable plugged into the back of the router. You need to check each end of the cable to see if there’s any problem. Do make sure to switch off the power before plugging or unplugging.
- Reposition – Sometimes certain elements within the room or building can hamper the signal. - Factory Default Settings – changing individual settings can be difficult, so the safest option is to reset you router to factory settings in case you face any problem with the configuration. The process is similar to the one required to reset the password of your router.
